Bbirchtats 0 Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 I have had this problem with multiple computers. I get the server working externally on a computer, then I plug in the ethernet to try to increase the speed for streaming and the server doesn't work externally anymore. Is there some wired vs. wireless setting that I missed somewhere? I would really prefer the speed boost that would come with wired. I'm running windows machines and since the external server does work on wifi, I think that the firewall and appropriate settings are okay. I would really like to settle this issue I've been having. More details can be provided, thank you.

Carlo 4561 Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Hi, you are likely getting a different LAN IP address for wireless and wired. So if you can run wired over Ethernet just use that. Make sure your router port forwarding is pointing to the "new" IP address your server box gets when connected via Ethernet. It should be as simple as that.
Luke 42086 Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 @Bbirchtats has this helped? Are you still having an issue with this?
