rexerm 36 Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 One of my users is reporting that some TV episodes will stop playback well before the end of the episode. I have not experienced this myself. I even tested remote playback of an episode he had this issue with and didn't have any trouble. He's using Chrome on a Windows laptop. The video file is a standard DVD rip I did myself into an MKV container. I note in the logs that he happened to play this episode ("Sleeping Dragon") right at 2am, when the chapter image-generating process runs (and I had a new TV show to process last night). Could that affect things? embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-801f644d-4417-4076-adee-6eb2e0e32722_1.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Hi, Nothing stands out from those logs as it transcoded just fine at 11x speed. Do you have any problem playing back this same file via Chrome?
rexerm 36 Posted July 12, 2021 Author Posted July 12, 2021 No issues on my end either locally or remotely with that ep. Would a bad network connection cause Emby to interpret the end of an episode? He says it stopped after a few minutes and auto-played the next ep.

It could cause the video player to raise a network error which will stop playback, yes.
