Yeah it works for me too, I used the same filters and got a result...

Personally I'd check the permissions on the dll file in your plugin folder... 

Media "is  Movie" should list all your movies.. 

Check permissions for all your mapped shared folders just to be sure.

The plugin started filtering by movies in version 2.5.0.4810

I managed to get mine working but somehow from 303 items it goes down to 1 item then switches to 86 items not sure why it's doing that.

I have tried that but the logs is not picking up the Metadata which is weird, guessing that is why its dropping the items.

o I'm having a weird experience as I tried to add a new playlist. I dont know when it actually broke because it has always been a "set it and forget" it type of thing. Im thinking one of the emby updates broke it? anyway wanted to to see if anyone else has experienced this

Emby 4.9.0.50 (i upgraded to see if it would fix it. when i noticed the version was 4.9.0.43)

ISSUE

When trying to create new playlists it appears to only can MOVIES, not any other type of video (iI'm trying to scan home movies). even if i search for media type=photos it still only scans the movies group. Also existing playlists will not update either as they wont scan outside 

When I goto advanced > Plugins and click on Smart Playlist I get this

GUI gets whacky. I can click on any setting option but once I select SMART PLAYLIST the display goes on top of what was already there

I hope it matches what Smart Playlists 2.0 can do - but what I'm really waiting for (and have been for years..) is the ability to create virtual libraries from these playlists and display as 'rows' on the main screen.   

imo Only then do they start to become really useful to present dynamic content as the users themselves can customise what they see.  ie the concept of Spotlight/Recommendations/Top Picks etc becomes a reality.

Really hoping for an update on smart playlists in 4.9 or even better yet some engagement or limited beta that canvases for input. My worry is that after this long wait the implementation isn't what users have been asking for.

I spun up an instance of Jellyfin over the weekend and was playing around with this plugin that allows you to create custom list and views on the homepage. It's a bit janky and laborious to configure but is pretty interesting. It gives me hope that this functionality might be built into core Emby some day.

I believe this is web client only ?

It's just very frustrating that the only major improvement that I have been waiting for is taking so long.    Yes I would want it for all clients - but if emby understandably only wanted to invest time to implement it on the Android platform (not AndroidTV) then it may well be the push needed for AndroidTV users to finally accept the inevitable and move clients..

Correct that Jellyfin plugin is currently only able to view the enhanced homescreen on the we clients.

I agree that any implementation of this would need client support. Android TV being my preferred client.

I unfortunately had to migrate my music to jellyfin since there is a very easy to use smart playlist plugin that works very well (and consistently). Looking forward to trying out the new emby smart playlist function once it is merged in 4.9 (hopefully).
