Inverted colours on playback - one series

I've been watching a series through my Emby server (hosted on Windows) and all was well. I got to series 6 and suddenly I had inverted colours. I watched the files locally with VLC and all the colours are OK.

I have investigated further, and have found that the files will play with inverted colours on 720P 2Mbps or higher but will play with the correct colours at 720P 1.5Mbps or lower. This is the same with both Vivaldi and Google Chrome on two separate Windows machines. However, if I play it on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 9) though the app, it will work fine at any bit rate. I am using the server on a local network so leave it at auto and expect it to run "auto - direct" all of the time - this is not the case on my normal computer where it's showing as "auto 1080P 60Mbps". It is showing as direct playback on my phone by default.

I'm assuming this is an error with the file, rather than Emby though it seems odd that other players are fine with it. I see no errors in the log but can attach a file if need be.

Is there any other information you require?

How big is this file?
Is it something you could post and give us a download link to so we can test it internally?

About 350 megabytes each episode. I can send it to someone directly but I won't post links here for obvious reasons.

From the Codec tab on VLC:

That's a bit strange.  Could you post the media info section of this from Emby (bottom of detail screen).

Have no idea what you are calling inverted color, but can guess 10bit is lost and washed out being converted to 8bit ie no tone mapping.

You have h264 but hdr color space and 8 bit?  Seems like a rather odd encode.

My thoughts and why I said:

To me this is bad encode as it's not marked correctly.
