Is it possible to edit a local file for Upcoming in shows?  I know this is from TVDb, but some of it is wrong.  I find some showing the wrong day and others missing that i would like to add.

Thanks...

Is TVDb wrong? If so, open up an account and you can edit TVDb. That way it's fixed permanently and everyone can take advantage of the fix. I've had some episodes that I've had to add dates to so they show up in Emby.

I can do that.  Yah i have a few shows that are not on the right date and other on going shows (less popular educational ones) that do not appear at all.

Guess it would be nice to have a schedule that could be manually edited locally, maybe i will create a request, but i agree it would be beneficial to the entire community to fix the source.

My mind is slipping more and more every day and now utilize upcoming more than ever.

At the same time that could be a losing battle as their dates could be specific to where it aired first.

Just like War of the Worlds season 2 has different dates on TMDB and TVDB.  Weekly episodes or two episodes per week.

War of the Worlds: Season 2 (2021) — The Movie Database (TMDb) (themoviedb.org)

War of the Worlds (2019) - Aired Order - Season 2 - TheTVDB.com

So the dependency of the provider will be specific to the data they provide and this information currently only comes from TVDB,

I like the idea of having a editable file within emby...  I am going to create an account in the morning and see what i can and can't add or change.  I got into a project today that took up the day.

See how it goes in the AM.

Thanks!

With Emby getting the entire series with each update I would not be optimistic manually editing Emby cache from TVDB that populated Upcoming.  So if you can edit the source then yes it should work assuming they don't come in behind you and revert the changes and lock the metadata.
