Just to clarify, you said "in your new database" but my database isn't "new". It has been around a while and upgraded with the various releases along the way.

I'll look at creating a new library. It isn't just some problem media, it is everything. What I'll look at trying next is to see if episodes that was added to the library after 4.6.1.0 play in the correct order. The thought being those episodes have something different in the database.

I have about 5 users. If I can export all their watched/position status and re-import it, I can wipe the database and start over again if absolutely required.

I can fire up SQLite and look at the database if there is any hint on what I should look for.

4.6 changed the database so the db is new but has original data that should have migrated to the new columns.

So comparing 4.5 to 4.6 is really moot.

To me this is specific to your database or everyone would be seeing this behavior.

I just know there are columns changes from 4.5 to 4.6, have no idea of the overall changes to look for.

That is why I am suggesting create a new library with a new folder and test with a series you having issues with.  This will tell you if it is a DB issue or something else.

@rhodges has this helped?

I can't say yet, definitively, but so far, yeah.

I went all out and backed up my data, nuked my entire programdata folder and rebuilt my library and restored the user information.

I believe my issue was resolved. I probably didn't need to nuke everything, but I figured, why not. I've watched about 10 episodes of Castle a few episodes of Family Guy and they are playing back to back as expected.
