Collections

I accidentally blasted my emby library when I moved to a new machine.

One of the features I loved was collections.  So I did some research and made sure that collection data was being delivered from the metadata providers in the library setup.  But.... no collections are being generated like when the addon was not built in.  I did a bunch of searching, but I figure that I am missing something somewhere.

Any help?

Have you enabled 'Import collection information' form the movie library settings?

I did what was shown in the new collections setup page:

Import collection information from metadata downloaders is checked

Minimum automatic collection size: is set to 2

 

Just to make you guys aware, the main collections information page still tells you to use AutoBox plugin.

Gonna run a refresh all metadata on the library and see what happens.

Not sure why this didn't get done when the movies were initially added, but at least it is working now.

IMO, there needs to be an additional option on "Refresh Metadata" which is "Everything Except Images"  I can easily see where you may want to refresh everything, not just missing info, but keep your images.

There is, three-dot menu on any Library or item; unless intentionally ticked/selected 'Replace existing images', only metadata will be refreshed.
