Bigmack3000 107 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Hey, a collections tab popped up today. I've never turned collections on before, and I'd rather not have them. How do I get rid of it? Thanks.
Luke 42086 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Hi, most likely someone created a collection, or you have library options enabled to automatically create them for you.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Hi, If you don't want to see the collections library you can turn this off in your home screen settings.

I'm the only one with access to this account. Where would I find the setting for them to auto create? They've never popped up before, and. I don't have the Auto Box Set plugin installed. 2 hours ago, cayars said: Hi, If you don't want to see the collections library you can turn this off in your home screen settings. The autoboxset plugin was replaced by native support for boxset creation based on metadata. The function is controlled in your Library settings: And no, hiding the collections from the main screen won't prevent them being created. Actually nothing can prevent them being manually created but you can stop the automatic creation by unticking the box shown above.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Correct but once a collection is created it will not go away on it's own, so if you don't want the collection you would have to delete it.
Bigmack3000 107 Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 That's always been unchecked. I deleted the collection that was in there. And unchecked display on home screen. But it's still listed with my other libraries: How do I get rid of this?
Happy2Play 9785 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 The workaround to remove the library is to shutdown Emby, go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\root\default (path will vary per platform, but you can see your Data path at the top of a server log or on Dashboard path section), delete the Collection folder, start Emby and go to Dashboard-Library. Now the Collection Library will be Mixed Content type and you can Remove it. Note if any Collections exist it will be recreated. Collections are made from the <set> node being added to media metadata.
Bigmack3000 107 Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 If that box was always unchecked then there should be no other files with that metadata right?
