Tony B. 38 Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 I have a manually adjusted subtitle that is 'ok' in the file, the words match up to the seconds, but when played, it doesn't respect the edits. Renamed the file, no. Changed the file content, no. What do I need to do to have it respect the new file?
Carlo 4561 Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 (edited) Hi, How did you edit the subs? Edited July 5, 2021 by cayars
Carlo 4561 Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Never saw that before. If you play your new file in VLC are the subs correct then? If not it's a bad edit.

So you're saying that the subs are the same as they were before editing? Then you have an old copy of the sub file which takes precedence. Did you definitely replace the original with the edited file? I note that the default location to store the result of editing is not the place the file was read from, but your browser's default download location. Paul
