Ehancement request / maybe bug, delete music from artist/album screens

Hi lovely people of the forums

I wondered if this has dissapeared due to a setting though I can remove media via individual songs but I can't do it from the Artist page when clicking the ellipses or Album pages as the option to delete doesn't appear.

 

Is it a setting?

Hi, yes it's a setting per user.

Users-Profile tab.  Scroll down to "Allow Media Deletion From" section and enable deletion from that library.

Thanks cayars, thought that might be the case but I can delete individual songs but not an album / artist at a time. for further info though as i still thought best to check

I thought worth checking my Music library settings too and they were set to an unstructed folder structure so I've set it to Artist\Album\Song and running a rescan to see if that makes a difference.

[edit] I'm running 4.6.4 on windows if that helps

Album and Artist are virtual items made from the songs embedded metadata so you can not delete them.  You could delete from folder tab though.

Awesome thanks!, would have thought its still possible as im not sure which is better for me personally but helps me now thanks so much!
