ProXy 11 Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Hallo zusammen, ich habe einige 4k HEVC Filme die ich über Emby auf einem TV mit Android wiedergeben möchte. Scheinbar übersteigt die Bandbreite aber 100Mbit, denn die Wiedergabe startet nicht. Auf meinem iOS Device oder dem Smartphone hingegen läuft alles problemlos. Ich könnte die Qualität der Wiedergabe ja auch reduzieren, dazu müsste die Wiedergabe aber erstmal starten. Dann habe ich versucht, ob eines meiner anderen an das TV angeschlossene Geräte Emby unterstützt. Xbox, Sky, Entertain, nirgends gibt es Emby. Starte ich die Wiedergabe unter iOS kann ich anschliessend die Ausgabe auf den TV umleiten. Bei DLNA und Android passiert nichts, bei Chromecast erscheint auf dem TV der Text ‚Ready ro cast‘ aber die Wiedergabe bleibt stehen. ist es den so schwer einen Film auf einem Android Fernseher problemlos wiederzugeben? Kann ich Emby nicht irgendwie mitteilen, dass ich einen Film dann eben gerne konvertiert wiedergeben würde? Sobald ich unter 100Mbit sinke sollte das ja funktionieren.. Danke für die Hilfe!

I am not sure what is causing this issue because some 4k content just plays fine while other never starts. It seems that movie with higher bitrate seem to fail more often then others. I can watch the movie on my iPad without any issues while I get an endless loading screen on my TV. On my android smartphone playback starts but there is only audio. I can change the output to 4k 40Mbit and video starts to work. Here some data about the movie I wanted to stream: https://prnt.sc/1a16uba After the letdown I decided to watch another movie. This one worked without any issues: https://prnt.sc/1a185hu All my movie have at least the AC3 audio line so that there is no need to convert audio. Painkiller88 248 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 (edited) Sieht alles ganz normal aus, du siehst also auch, dass dieser Film nicht die 100Mbit Videobitrate überschreitet sondern sogar weniger hat als mein Beispiel. Entweder sind deine Quell Festplatten zu langsam von denen der Film gelesen wird oder dein internes Netzwerk selbst ist der Flaschenhals. Selbst bei einem TV der nur 100Mbit LAN hat, würde das reichen, weil dein Film 55Mbit Videobitrate hat und keine MB/s also weit unter dem was möglich wäre. Das bedeutet selbst mit Audio einberechnet benötigt dieser Film maximal ~59Mbit also ca. 8MB/s Edited July 16, 2021 by Painkiller8818
ProXy 11 Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 Meine Festplatten sind Seagate Exos x16, die haben mit der Geschwindigkeit kein Problem. Im gesamten Netzwerk steht 1GBit zur Verfügung, da sollten ebenfalls genügend Reserven bereitstehen. Ich werde morgen mal nach Filmen mit einer höheren Bitrate schauen und es mit diesen testen. Wenn aber irgendeine Komponente zu langsam wäre, dann würde es wohl während der Wiedergabe immer wieder buffern. Ich sehe allerdings kein einziges Frame.

Painkiller88 248 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Was mir in deinem Log auffällt ist, dass du extrem viele Fehler 404 hast also "Not Found". Vielleicht kann dir einer vom Emby Team mehr dazu sagen aber da hast extrem viele solcher Fehler drinnen. Kannst du auch mal den ffmpeg log hochladen nachdem du auf dem Problemgerät die Wiedergabe versuchst, vielleicht seh ich dort mehr.

I also did a factory reset of my TV just to be sure but without success. @Painkiller8818Ich habe kein ffmpeg Log auf meinem Server, lediglich embyserver.txt und ältere Versionen davon.

Your TV may not support such a high bitrate. This is an example of playing a movie with an average bitrate of 50 Mbps: Here you can check that there are many peaks close to 100 Mbps.
ProXy 11 Posted July 17, 2021 Author Posted July 17, 2021 (edited) @Luke @Painkiller8818 I gave up on my TV and tested playback of the movie on my computer with Google chrome. After a short buffering the movie started but stuttered every few seconds. When changing the quality on the client to FullHD the movie played without any issues. This time I did some performance tests: Server (QNAP NAS) As you can see nearly no load. HDDs work fine, should have no issue with a single stream. Client (Intel i5, 16GB, GTX 1070) No great load here... This is a network performance test, writing from my client to the server. 859MBit down should be enough for 10 streams. I have no clue where my bottleneck is... Edited July 17, 2021 by ProXy
vdatanet 1617 Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 You can enable debug options in Emby for Android TV and send logs. @ebr can surely confirm that it is a buffer underrun and the data does not reach the device in time.
