Statick 15 Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 I know that there's the ".nomedia" function for ignoring folders, but it also used to be the case that folders beginning with "." also got ignored by the scanner. and so this is how I've set up my library structure for years as a result, with working folders (such as where dvd/bd rips are ripped to and then transcoded) nested inside other folders in the library. lately these "." folders have started showing up in my library scans - has this behaviour actually been changed, and if so why? I have loads of these and am regularly creating new ones, it would be a drag if I had to start adding .nomedia files to every single one, the "." naming function has suited me well for a long time
pwhodges 2012 Posted July 2, 2021 Posted July 2, 2021 There are band names starting with a dot, as I recall, so ignoring all files starting with dot was changed to accommodate them. Try instead putting a file in the folder with the name ".ignore" (with the dot!). Paul 1
