dadofhgnadn 12 Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 So, suddenly there are no longer any books in my book library and I can not delete the libraries and rebuild. I delete them and it acts as if that task is done but the library is not removed. I rescanned, refreshed and restarted.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Hi, A library isn't instantly deleted as there is a lot of things that need to get removed from the system including all meta-data and database entries. You should be able to see all the things going on in the server log file.

May need to see a server log showing these steps. I have not seen any issues removing any library except Collections and the is by design.
dadofhgnadn 12 Posted July 8, 2021 Author Posted July 8, 2021 The Windows HDD "K" that these files were on failed. I have a clone/synced drive that is a mirror of "K". So, after pulling the bad drive "K" I have now assigned the mirrored drive "K" (where Emby's library path points). Though everything is the same, Emby does not like this. I have tried to rescan the libraries with no luck. (It scans for a sec and is done) Thumbnails are missing, etc. I have tried to delete the libraries with no luck.
dadofhgnadn 12 Posted July 9, 2021 Author Posted July 9, 2021 All right..... please find attached the server log. I managed to get the library removed by deleting the current path and then adding a path in that library to c:\temp. I then refreshed the metadata and removed. Shut down Emby Server and then restarted it. Now it is gone. I then attempted to recreate the library with the correct path and I receive an error (see image). It is a local drive. embyserver (2).txt
Happy2Play 9781 Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Books are not the same as Audiobooks and will not show audio files. For electronic books, the following types are supported: pdf epub mobi cbr cbz azw3 So can you provide the same for Audiobooks. But not sure on why "K:\Emby Shares\AudioBooks mp3\Non Fiction" works and "K:\Emby Shares\AudioBooks mp3\Fiction" does not, assuming it exists on that drive. Issues with this path also Skipping realtime monitor for G:\Processed Home Movies because the path does not exist But that log is showing a corrupt database. SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Corrupt: database disk image is malformed You will need to try and recover your database per the KB. Corrupt Database : Emby 1
Luke 42079 Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 @dadofhgnadn please let us know if this helps. Thanks
dadofhgnadn 12 Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 Following the directions at Corrupt Database : Emby it asks that I do the following: 1. Shutdown Emby 2. Navigate to the folder containing your database file 3. Delete library.db-shm & library.db-wal 4. Restart Emby However, when I shut down Emby Server those files disappear and then can not be deleted. Thanks
Happy2Play 9781 Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 Just now, dadofhgnadn said: However, when I shut down Emby Server those files disappear and then can not be deleted. That is what is suppose to happen, as that section is only for Database Locked issues. You have corrupt database so you need to try the recover section or rename the current library.db to create a new one as it is shown as corrupt per the log. Do not delete the db at all your users data is in that database also.
dadofhgnadn 12 Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) Thanks, I just completed that. Once I restarted Emby Server the libraries cam back with a vengeance. I now have seven libraries with the same name "Books Fiction". I will delete them. Edited July 10, 2021 by dadofhgnadn
