A pesar de que el usuario tiene cancelada las descargas, por que mediante este software y otros como este, logran descargar de Emby

Not being able to truly block downloading of server content.

Users->pick user->profile tab

You can give/remove access to download for each user here.

Does that help you or do you still have an issue?

No as that only removes option from the UI,  but you can circumvent the options via a browser and really any download tool as shown in screen shot, just like Luke mentioned.

So capturing the stream url, you can download that media.

At least it's harder than doing it with Plex.

There is only so much you can do with web UIs to stop things without interfering with normal ops.
To me it comes down to giving a bit of "lip" to friends/family you have shared with and if they are going to try to exploit your system then they won't last long. LOL

Emby is a personal media server after all.

Sorry, but imo and this particular context this statement is unappropriate.
Not trying to defend anyone but who does that "statement" help here?

Btw...I could also go ahead and say on Plex it's easier to skip intros...

Don't know if you are aware but there is a browser plugin just for this for Plex systems. So yea it's harder than doing it with Plex for sure as it's bloody easy to do on that platform by anyone with the plugin installed without the knowledge of doing it the "hard way".

The fact is on any streaming platform using a set of well known protocols this type of thing is not hard to do.  You just capture the stream and put it back together if needed. You can do it on Plex, JellyFin, Emby, Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc

Essentially, it's the nature of the beast with streaming servers and the way they have to work.  So hopefully you understand now what I meant by that comment, not that it changes anything.

La única forma que encontré para detener esto fue permitir que los usuarios solo reprodujeran de TV inteligentes, y bloqueando todos los otros dispositivos, espero que le ayuden a otros con el mismo problema
