Just bought Premiere lifetime. Help with organize by folder and emby connect email already used

 I purchased Emby premiere lifetime just now. Two issues.

1. The email I want to use for emby connect I previously used before cannot use it now. it starts with cf . I need the one I have used cleared. 

2. Before buying premiere I installed the most recent version. My  issue had to do with organizing by folder. I do not know how to do so on the server; it does not work on any choice of types - by types I mean Movie, TV Shows, but not on mixed content. I will transfer the files from scratch again but have you had this issue? Or is it that emby separated them between photo and video (as in the tag) but cannot organize them as anything else?

Sadly, I cant do anything to help with your first problem (someone on staff would obviously need to help you) --- but as for your second problem, I think I need more information about what you're doing.

Anywhoo, my questions' are to get a better sense of what your issues are:
#1.) Do you have physical, in person access to the server. Is it on a Computer, Android like device or an NAS based system?
#2.) Are you talking about organizing them through the Emby Interface or through your devices file system?

It sounds like, to me, that you are trying to set things up remotely and thus mostly concerned with what the Emby Interface is showing/doing; but I'm unclear based on your question weather your file system on your device is squared away.

I think the two links I provided you will help you figure these questions out, but if you need help; please try to answer the questions I asked and I'll see if I can help you.

Hi,

There are two things I need:

1. Be able to use my email account for email connect. Can you release the email address so that I can use it in emby connect?

2. I have tried for hours to find a simple way to sort everything by folders not by Title, etc. In a previous version it was easy in a global way. Then I could do it using metadata manager. With the new version I cannot find a way. The strange thing is that one I classified as mixed content does organize based on folders. I read the knowledge base such as naming through setting the folder as Mixed Content, Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc., but it is not helpful. I also read through the knowledge base links suggested by the person who responded. But that answers a different question which I am not concerned about. What I so want to do is simply sorting by folder...I know one can choose one of the horizontal menu at the top which lists items like movies, suggestions, favorites, folders. But they reset themselves to the first one on the list by moving to another webpage. I essence, my question is: What is the simple global setting for sorting everything by folders and stay there. If there is no global setting, can it be set by folder created in My Media?

Release it from what?  Did you already use that email address to setup an Emby Connect account?
That email address has nothing to do with Premiere at all.

Have you tried using the FOLDERS tab at the top of movies, tv shows, etc?

1. If I go https://emby.media/community/index.php?/register/ to sign up in emby connect , it tells me that the email address is used by another user. Can you release it so that I can use my own account?

2. Yes, as I mentioned on my post, I can click on folders on the top horizontal menu and it works, but if you leave the webpage and then come back to it , one finds that it resets itself to the first item on the horizontal menu. This is a problem since the first item is often suggestions and since this is always left blank by the database, I see nothing. So, is there a way to set it to lock it to folders?

Is that the same email address you're using right now on the forum?
The forum and Emby Connect account is one and the same.

If you go to your home screen setting you can set the default tab for things like movies, tv shows, live tv, etc.  I think this is what you might want to do.

That is totally normal when a account already exists.

How would we know who is suppose to have that email address?  If you are registered with it then you will see it if you select your Username drop down box at the top of the forum and select Account Setting.  If you are not currently logged in with the account using that email address then that is another story.  And you would have to work with a Admin to validate all account information.

Yes as mentioned this is a per User - Home Screen setting.  You need to set each library Default Screen to folder.

I have an additional question. I have family images on directories and subdirectories. It is set to mixed content. There are two issues: 

1. At the end of a chain of subdirectories there should be image thumbnails but I get a blank. Would it be a better choice to use Photos and Videos?

2. Is it possible to organize the photos into sorted folders as well using screen settings as with the other types? I am not sure it works and it is an issue.

Photos would need to be a Home Video & Photo library with Photos enabled in the library settings.

Yes, Home Video & Photo has a folder default screen also.
