Luke 42078 Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Try using the metadata manager to delete the collections. It should be OK there since it's not displaying images. 1
playloud 10 Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 I was able to delete a collection through Metadata Manager, is multi-select available for deletion there? (Didn't try yet) I was able to create a new collection, but when attempting to add to it, the freeze still occurs. I am ok with deleting all collections, maybe there is an issue with the images on one or more of them?
Carlo 4561 Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 That's sort of what it sounds like. Are you using the same set of media when testing this? If so can you try adding 3 or 4 different media/movie to a collection to see how that works?
playloud 10 Posted July 18, 2021 Author Posted July 18, 2021 I moved collections from all libraries, and did a scan. There are two collections now listed in metadata manager that do not have corresponding media files. These CANNOT be deleted through metadata manager as other collections could, and trying causes the server freeze. I searched Emby and all my drives for files associated with these collections, but could not locate anything. It seems likely these are causing the issue, but how to delete them? embyserver-63762154310.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 Hi, what collections currently show an what movies are in each?
playloud 10 Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Below are screenshots. Just taking these froze the server, log attached. As mentioned these seem like "ghost" collections, I cannot find any corresponding media. embyserver-63762239704.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 That almost looks like you have a circular collection thing going on. What I would suggest you try is move any movie that is included in either collection out of your movies library and do a full library scan. That should hopefully remove the collection from your system. Verify the collect is gone after the scan. If you had stored NFO files with media try deleting the NFO files then add back the movies that would make up "Schoolhouse Rock" and scan the library. How is it now? If still looking good add the other movies back as well. If this doesn't work, let us know and we can try a remote session with you to get a better look at what might be happening.
playloud 10 Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 There are no movies associated with these collections any longer, the collections don't show in the regular library, only in the collections list, or searching for "Rock". I just don't know where the info is coming from or I would delete it.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 What does it show when you enter Schoolhouse Rock collection?
playloud 10 Posted July 19, 2021 Author Posted July 19, 2021 Server freezes at that point, right after clicking it, or on clicking dots to delete.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 If you like you can shutdown Emby Server and send me a copy via PM of your library.db file to take a look at. I could check it for any errors as well as try to remove the collections from the db for you.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 1 hour ago, playloud said: Thanks, sent PM Sending you a PM to arrange a remote session. I'm seeing 249 collections in your database and have a feeling some of these files making the collection might have been moved prior to 4.6 upgrade and were pointing to a different location before the upgrade to 4.6 which then possibly caused a problem leading to the issue you have now.
