No access to episode info in playlists

When playing an episode normally, on the OSD there's an "i" button which pops up the episode description. 

When playing a playlist, this button is not present. This also applies to the Virtual TV plugin in playlist mode. With the plugin, it also removes access to chapters both in the OSD and when pressing the up arrow on the remote.

well the app is treating the media as live tv through Virtual TV and chapters are not shown for live tv

Is it, though? Isn't it just a playlist as far as Emby is concerned once it's started? It's not like I can pull up a TV guide or channel information or anything. 

The LG app has a skip chapter button on the remote (does the Shield?), which works even in Virtual TV.

Not in Playlist playback mode, only with Continous playback.

Actually scratch that, the episode I'm watching doesn't have a description which is why there was no button.

That only affects VTV, not playlists generally (the info button applies to both), so it's something weird happening there. But as @pünktchen says it's just a playlist as far as Emby is concerned so it shouldn't make a difference...

Well "bumping" the thread won't accomplish anything if the item has already been addressed in beta but you just haven't tested it.

It's an app or server issue, but not a plugin issue. I'm just sending item Ids to the app with the help of the playing command inside of the session controller api:

Ah.  So this is a remote control session via the API, not an Emby Playlist.

Both of these should be addressed in the next beta of the app.

Awesome. How frequently do beta releases shift to stable on this app? I've not paid it any attention previously.

Not sure how to get onto the beta, really. I did sideload the server app but it doesn't show up in my apps list so I can't actually open it, which for the server is fairly irrelevant but for the client would render it useless.

Well now that I'm on the beta...yep, this seems to be working both for info in playlists and chapters in VirtualTV.
