One library folder has stopped auto-generating a multi-panel thumbnail.

All of a sudden, a while back, one of my libraries ("Movies") stopped auto-generating (and auto-updating) its four-panel thumbnail and just started showing a single photo for that library, like so:

It displays the same way on my Home page now. I tried using Edit Images to simply delete the single picture file (update with no file chosen) for the Movies library, hoping it would start automatically regenerating itself in a day or two but it just stays empty (the thumbnail remains blank).  If I choose a specific picture file for the Movies library, then that file "sticks" (as in the included screenshot) -- the Movies library thumbnail is never updated again or changed back into an auto-generated, four-picture panel.  How can this be fixed?

Also, how can I DELETE a library?  There is no delete option on any drop-down menu I can find under Settings/Libraries.  (I originally checked the option to auto-generate Collections, wound up with one measly Collection, then changed my mind and turned off the option to auto-generate Collections -- but now I cannot delete the Collections library; it just sits there mocking me!)

Regards.

Hi, please upload your latest server log so we can take a look at this for you.

To delete a library you need to be logged in as an admin.  Then just hover over the library, choose the 3 dot menu and choose the remove option.

There ain't Delete option for Collections library. He can only "hide" it by restricting Access in User>Access tab.

Is this the log file? (I was expecting something with a "log" extension.)

Well, that was the impression I got -- which seems insufficiently thought out 🤔.  I've already hidden the Collections library (it doesn't show up in Home any longer) but I would kindly like to get rid of it altogether.  That should certainly be an administrator's right, no?  Same for any other libraries I may have created or might create in the future.  Sigh.

Hi.  You can delete any libraries you create.  The "Collections" library is not one of those, however.  It is a virtual library created by the system.

Do you have any loose images in the root of the three folder attached to Movies library?

If provider Collections are not populating, you will need to Refresh Metadata on your media again.  You can test by Refreshing a couple items that belong to the same collection.

Hi, did you run a library scan during the time of this log?

No.

Yes, one in each of the three.  They weren't there before this problem started happening.  I only put a different poster.jpg folder in each of those locations to try to FIX this problem, after it started giving me a single-picture thumbnail, then changed to giving me a blank thumbnail for the Movies library.  (I am talking about Libraries here, not Collections, by the way.)

Emby will use parent folder images so dynamic image will not be created.  Remove those loose images, and select edit image on the Movie library and delete the image then do a library scan.  If dynamic image is not created then post the server log.  But this should work as I just tested this and folder level image was used on Library.

Well as soon as you customize it, it's not going to auto-generate one anymore since it will just use the one you specifically chose.

Well, that was easy.  Thanks very much.
