Where's the trailer button (Win App, Browser, iOS App)?

Hi everyone!

 

I'm running emby server 4.6.1.0 on Synology.

Recently i've noticed, the trailer button which used to be shown in the detail view of a movie isn't there anymore. Trailer Plugin is installed and seems to work properly. What can i do?

Do you write nfo files with your media?  If so can you post the trailer url from the nfo.

Not all clients/app will have trailer buttons do to YouTube TOS.

Hi,

my movie folders contain nfo-files showing the line

  <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_video&amp;videoid=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX</trailer>

 

In the detail page of any movie, the trailer button is missing.

But the trailers shown for example under "New and Upcoming in Theaters" play fine on the same system. So i would guess it's not a problem with the youtube terms of service.

Systems showing this behavior are PC App and Browser, iOS, iPadOS, AndroidTV on Shield.

Those trailers do not come from YouTube.  But the url in your metadata coming from TMDB is a YouTube url and can not be played in every client/app as the TOS requires you launch YouTube in their app.

But back to the point here as I have no issue with that url in metadata showing on Browser/Theater/IOS (iPhone), will not work on Roku.  Not positive on other platforms.

All platforms can play Youtube now except for Apple TV and Roku. Does that answer your question?

Sorry I don't get it.

I don't use Apple TV or Roku.

On all my platforms, the trailer button is missing (it has been there before).

The movie shown as example in my library (browser / win):

 

The nfo-file is showing the lines:

What i'd like to have: the return of the trailer button...

If you Refresh Metadata on a item does the button return (reported worked in another topic)? 

Does the same happen for new added media?

It worked!!

After refreshing metadata, the trailer buttons are back!
