freddecc 0 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Is anyone else seeing this? Every time the substitle updates it's like the video is skipping a frame. I'm using a Shield Pro (2019), currently on Emby 2.0.26 beta but the issue was there in non beta as well. Turning off subs or switching to SRT subs solves it.

Noticed it the other night when playing a movie off local network (Karate Kid, Part II, 1080p HEVC, AAC 5.1 Audio, 5mbps bitrate) and the stutter was consistent with VOBsub format. SRT doesn't seem to trigger it, though, so I downloaded an alternate sub track and it went away. Edited June 17, 2021 by KaptainKrypton
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 No, I couldn't reproduce this with TV or movies I tested in 2.0.26g. I tried both with and without refresh rate switching turned on. Can you share the mediainfo from the browser for a title you see this with or the ffprobe output for the same? Maybe it's tied to something like refresh rate of the video source.
