Allow only items with theese tags - Tags menu behavior?

Hi,

I have configured an user and setup the following:
Users -> <username> -> Parental Control -> Restrict Item With Tags: Allow only items with these tags

 

When going into the Client (Observed with Web client), Live TV or any other Library under Tags, the user cannot see the Tags it has the permissions to see.
Yes, the media Tagged with the Allowed Tags are visible.
Is it expected behavior that the Tags are not visble for the user under the Tags menus when user is setup like this?

Hi, yes this is just something that hasn't come up before. I think we'll just have to exclude tags from this restriction. Thanks.

Yes probably other things as well. Basically anything that's not media.

Any solution to this issue? taking it one step further, when in Channel Tab, if I check "Group items into tags" using default channel order, all Tags/Categories populate. so this behavior of "No items found" is only persistent in Tag section of the UI.

@Cr8iveLosr you're only going to see Tags in the tags section. What are you expecting to see there? What tags have you created?

i was referring to the same issue the OP is having. There are no tags in tags section. its empty when using  "Restrict items with Tags" on any user

did you mean 4.7 stable? I'm on the 4.7.0.20 beta and it's still an issue.

this was fixed in .22 while breaking other things but issue resurfaced after updating to .23

as described in the OP. when using "Allow only" tags the Tags Tab displays "no items found"

Content is restricted to specific Allow tag, but tag is not searchable or displayable via Movies-Tags.  You have to find an item with your tag and click that tag in order to see all items with said tag.
