Change default for multi-versions?

I've got some multi-version movies that have one 1080p / 3D MVC version, and one 4k version.  Emby seems to be defaulting to the older file, which is the 1080p / 3D MVC version.

Any way to manually set the default to the 4k version?

There is not even a single default.  Emby chooses as "default" the version that it thinks will offer the best playback quality on the particular client, which may vary.  There is no provision for forcing the issue other than choosing from the dropdown each time.

For different quality versions, this is probably not a big deal; for those people who use the facility for different cuts, for instance, it's more of a pain, but while the developers are aware of this, they have not yet offered a solution.

HI, if the 3D file can direct play, but the 4k file can't, then that's why it might be happening.

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to hop on it real quick to say I, too, wish there was a way to set a default.  I have two movies of roughly the same quality, only one of them is colorized and the other is in black and white.  Emby is picking the colored one when I wished the B/W version was the default.  Surely it couldn't be that hard to code for a tag in the file name to set the default?
