How can I force Live Tv to Remux on the Samsung & LG TV apps?

The "Live Tv" menu isn't available in app to prevent it from direct playing?

Enable seeking. I'm unable to rewind live tv.

After reading the forums it's recommended to transcode (Remux) by preventing live tv from "direct playing".

The option to do this isn't present on the TV apps or at least I cannot see it....

Sounds like what you want is commonly referred to as "TimeShifting".  I don't believe Emby has that capability, but @cayarswould know for sure.

What I want to do exists. It's working fine on my Firetv Stick & Mibox. You simply go to the "Live Tv" section in settings and uncheck "Direct Play Live TV" (attached)

This remuxes the stream rather than fully transcodes it and allows you to rewind etc. The option exists because you cannot rewind a "direct play" live tv stream from a TV tuner (in Emby).

But this menu option isn't present in the TV apps, so it always direct plays?
