Carlo 4560 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The "proper" way to have done this would be to update to DSM 7 then install the Emby Server version for DSM 7. Then update to DSM 7.1 Then update to DSM 7.2 Update Emby to the DSM 7.2 version Update DSM to latest DSM 7.2X version. Since you jumped a bit we have no choice but install the DSM 7.22 version of Emby.
kthanid 5 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I'm not sure I jumped a bit (or if I did, it was unintentional). I was on the most updated version of DSM 7.1 (7.1.1-42962) and the most updated version of Emby supported by DSM 7.1 (4.7.14.0-704071400) and then did them manual DSM update to 7.2 followed by the update of Emby through the available package center updates which brought me to the present state of "DSM 7.2.2.-72806 Update 1" and Emby Version 4.8.8.0-724080800 which still seems to be a few versions behind the latest as far as I can tell (but is the only version available in Package Center). If I'm understanding what you're saying, though, it seems that I should iteratively update Emby to each version between where I'm at and what is the most present version available if I manually update it? This page provides a link only to the latest version (4.8.10.0), so is it more proper to apply all updates from prior releases as seen somewhere like this github page? If so, do I need to apply beta releases along the way, or only "minor version" changes like 4.8.9 and then 4.8.10? Thanks!
Carlo 4560 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 I might have misunderstood what you did. In this case download the 7.2+ plus version of Emby directly from our website and install this through package manage on your NAS and you should be good to go. Carlo
