?

If scans can be a lengthy process it would be nice if the Dashboard shows scans in-progress.

It does from when a full scan is done.  Note if you are scanning a individual library, depending on the size of the library progress will be shown (done know if this applies to all clients though).

This shows on each library during a full scan and if you do a individual library scan.  Library size is relevant here though.

Oh, didn't think to initiate it from the home screen.  I was in the admin page.  What about there?  All I get is a pop-up saying it started.

Sorry I don't follow as I posted a image of what you see on the Dashboard.  Now if you see something different then please post a screenshot.

I guess the colors threw me off (I expected white like the default admin page colors).

I go to admin -> Server -> Library
select a sizable library to scan, select scan from the more menu
immediately go to Dashboard - I don't see any 'running tasks' block, I don't see any indication a scan is happening

Scanning a library scans all files and not just looks for deltas, correct?

Individual library scans will only show on the library per my images.

Only full scans appear on the Dashboard.

Or you can kick off a full library scan from the Scheduled Task area as well.
Regardless if you kick it off from the Library or Scheduled Task area (full library scan) you can see the status of completion on both the dashboard and schedule tasks page.

@cayars now don't go confusing me again 😬    At first I thought you were saying from a library, but now I think you mean the Library page.  👍

This leads me to a logical bug in the admin area.  This should be "Libraries", as it contains more than one library and it itself is not a library (as Emby understand libraries).

But it could be Library if you only have one.  But technically it is Library config/Library setup page.  You can only add or configure 1 library at a time even though it will display all of them for you.

It probably should be plural as other most other menu options are. But I think we've all gotten so used to it being Library that we don't even notice it anymore. :)

I still say there is an inconsistency...  Apply your logic to these:

Seriously, not wanting to make a big deal of this, but plural makes much more sense to me.  Just sayin' for the record.  🤓

Don't forget the first one SettingS.

But then you could also say Network should become Networks as well since you can have multiple local networks or a local network and wan network as well. :)

And some are Proper names of plugins.  So plural is irrelavent.🤪
