gerritv 4 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 During the upgrade to 4.6.2 (from 4.5.x) I stopped the server, probably prematurely, to do something with the machine. I now have 2 Collections libraries. Both point to the suual directory in AppData. One has actual collections with movies listed, the other only has the Collection names. How can I manually encourage re-executing the move from the AppData Collections directory to database?
BuddahKat 17 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I also now have 2 Collections folders / libraries since the update. I don't think I restarted the server or interrupted anything though, it seems to have just happened. They also aren't respecting the 'Home Screen' view settings, they appear in the list regardless of whether they are checked on in the settings. Please fix.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Can you please show a screen shot of Dashboard Library.
Solution Carlo 4561 Posted June 9, 2021 Solution Posted June 9, 2021 Try deleting the Collections that shows up as Mixed content and has the c:\users\ path listed. Let us know how you make out.
gerritv 4 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 That did it, thank you very much for the superb support. Gerrit 1
BuddahKat 17 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Deleting the old one from the Library dashboard fixed the duplicate and view issue for me as well, thanks! However, now all my custom collections are all messed up. For instance I had one for the Marvel MCU with all 22 movies, but now most of those movies are removed and placed into separate collections, like 'Captain America Collection', etc. Another custom one for Disney movies seems to just be gone all together, and now there seems to be random new collections based on the movies in my library. Is there a way to restore my old ones and prevent the automatic creation of ones in the future? I appreciate the frequent server updates with improved features, but I spent a lot of time organizing my collections of which a lot of that now seems to be undone. Updates are great, but ones that mess things up that took a lot of work are not so much. 1
gerritv 4 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 Interesting; my Christmas Collection that contains a variety of movies that I added over time is intact. There is an option to enable/disable automagic creation of Collections. Mine is off, I think I'll keep it that way.
