Latest Build not detecting interlaced TV Channels

I just moved to version 4.6.2 and am noticing that interlaced TV is not being properly detected as interlaced. As evidenced by the transcoding log: "IsInterlaced":false. for all my interlaced TV channels.

Hi, what client are you using when viewing these channels?

I ask because some clients can handle deinterlacing themselves while other client/hardware need the server to deinterlace.

It's my iPhone. But that is besides the point. I specified the max bit rate to be low to FORCE the transcode. The issue is that the channel isn't being detected as "interlaced" so the transcoding is not deinterlacing. I see the combing all over the place.

Understood.  Thanks for reporting this.

Can we please look at an example? Thanks.

What tuner is this being played from?

The RealFrameRate is also different as well which almost seems to indicate the stream was already deinterlaced.

It's coming from an HDHomerun.

Thanks, I'm in the USA with a Prime as well so I'll do some testing of different interlaced channels as well.

Just for good measure can you tell me what firmware version is running on your Prime?
You can find this easily in the web view:

HDHomeRun PRIME
Model: HDHR3-CC

For the record the station that has the issue was CBS.

@Luke I'm seeing the same thing playing back 1080i channels like CBS & NBC.

4.7.0.2 is identifying the stream interlace and refresh rates incorrectly and not deinterlacing properly.

This is still an issue. CBS and NBC still being detected as progressive channels with the wrong refresh rate. Any movement on this?
