rickgillyon 10 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 I'm currently stuck away from home and routinely have my Emby server set to no remote connections. So in these instances where I need it, I remote in and set the "allow remote connections" flag via the web interface (4.6.2.0 via unRAID). However, when I tick the remote connections box in this version, the save button disappears so I can't save the option. Any ideas?
Carlo 4561 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Hi, that's strange. What browser are you using when you do this? Please try using a different browser and let us know if that works. 1

Carlo 4561 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 I would try a non chromium browser such as firefox. But before doing that you might want to clear the browser cache.
rickgillyon 10 Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 Cleared cache on Chrome and then tried a fresh install of Firefox - same result, as soon as the checkbox is ticked, the save button disappears.
rickgillyon 10 Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 No, hang fire, it might just be a stupid vnc issue. Leave it with me! Thanks for the help.
rickgillyon 10 Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 (edited) Yes and no. In my vnc I found a button that allows me to scroll hidden parts of webpages (I would have expected a scrollbar, but maybe I'm just old-hat). So should now be connectable. Now Emby connect just doesn't connect to my server. But I'm being discharged today so not really worth trying to fix it remotely, I'll worry about it when I'm home. After 3 days of sleep. Thanks. rickgillyon 10 Posted June 8, 2021 Author Posted June 8, 2021 After a decent night's sleep it took all of 30 seconds to spot that there was a typo in the local IP on the router. Thanks for the help, all running now. 1
Carlo 4561 Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 Don't you hate that? Glad you got it spotted and fixed up. The power of a good night's rest. LOL 1
