bsmith2400 0 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 My ultraseedbox is up and going. I can see my emby server working fine when I login in thru the ultraseedbox control panel.. However I can’t get it to connect to emby... fire stick, MacOS, or iPhone Emby.. I can login into my Emby account with the user name and password.. but can’t add the server. I’m assuming the ultraseedbox url is what I need to add? http://myserver/emby http://myserver/emby/web The ultraseedbox references a port of 13704 Thanks, Brandon
Luke 42255 Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Hi there, what happens when you try to add the server?
bsmith2400 0 Posted June 7, 2021 Author Posted June 7, 2021 When I click add server... I tried connect and also adding the url..failed log in. That’s why was confirming the correct the url? Does it need the emby at the end of the url? Thx, Brandon

Try without it. Also what about the port number? When I login into my server I’m using WebUI port....13704... should that be the same as well. Or a different port number? thx, Brandon
Carlo 4561 Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 I've not seen how ultraseedbox set's this up but they could be using different ports or proxies which could change things from normal Emby defaults. Are you able to log into the Emby web admin from a browser? If so what does the URL look like? You can xxx out the domain to hide your actual URL.
bsmith2400 0 Posted June 8, 2021 Author Posted June 8, 2021 URL: https://XXXXX.XXX00.usbx.me/emby.......I also tried.....URL: https://XXXXX.XXX00.usbx.me/...... With the emby url.. WebUI port: 13704 Theres an actual picture posted above. Yes... I can login in thru the Emby server on Ultraseedbox (looks like thru the WebUI)... Everything looks and runs great on ultraseedbox and Emby server... I can't get the Amazon Fire Stick Emby App to "remote in" into the ultraseedbox server for the media content to be displayed at my house. I'm not 100% I'm using the correct URL or the Port..I'm maybe missing a larger component. Best, Brandon
bsmith2400 0 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 Here’s a picture of my emby server on ultraseedbox.... looks and runs great... I’m a premiere member and can’t get my Firestick to access or remote into ultraseedbox. I’ve lost two different Synology NAS and drives due to electric shock in the last 2yrs (even with some high end surge protectors). Time to put my media in the media. (I’m in Houston, Tx so large thunderstorm or flooding happen often) Thx, Brandon
bsmith2400 0 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 Here's Ultraseedbox help docs for Emby setup https://docs.usbx.me/books/emby/page/initial-setup https://docs.usbx.me/books/emby/page/troubleshooting-information Both communities are helpful and I think I'm close but I'm missing something. Best, Brandon
Carlo 4561 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Looking at that second link they block our ports like 8096 and likely have everything running behind a proxy. Using a URL with /emby will likely only work for web browsers and not any of our client software nor with Emby Connect since they are blocking how Emby works. This type of setup is only going to give you minimal Emby services and really will ruin the experience we work hard on.
bsmith2400 0 Posted June 9, 2021 Author Posted June 9, 2021 Yeah I’d hate and won’t go thru the web browser..I mean both Emby support and Ultra.cc have good support community.. So if I’m understanding Ultra.cc needs to offer a tru url and port? vs just web browser url...is this correct? Thx, Brandon
Carlo 4561 Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 I'm only commenting on what it looks based on your pics and from the 2 links you provided. But they say they block ports and then they add "/emby" to the URL line used in browsers. /emby can work for browsers but not for some of our apps because they connect to end points (API) on the server and don't use /emby in the URL. If you had control over this like users who setup proxies at home instead of domain.ext/emby you could do emby.domain.ext which then does work as the "emby" is part of the domain name and can be used by the proxy to know which app to forward to. Again this is just speculation on my part based on past experience and what it looks like but not from personal experience using their service. Hopefully that makes sense.
freddylad 3 Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Sorry for the necro post... I use ulttracc and I had a hard time getting the emby apps to work, so hopefully this helps for ppl that had the same issue I did and a search engine brought you here (like me) -its possible to get the emby app to work if you log into the web version. Go to the dashboard and it will display the remote wan access IP. It will say something like 123.456.789.012:8096 When you install emby from the ultra.cc control panel it will look like the pic below. Use the remote IP given on the emby dashboard with the port displayed on your ultracc control panel and it will allow you to log in using the app. 1 2
Chadley86 1 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Sorry for bump but I want to post this for anyone who maybe searching for solution Put in your host example - http://myserver/emby Port should be left blank Then press connect and it will ask you to put in your username and password and then you should be connected This is what worked for me on the seedbox I use. 1
