Hello,

I was running ubuntu server for over a year and never had a problem with connections, internal or external. After last emby update several months ago I could no longer access over internet with https or emby connect on any device, internal lan was fine. So, I installed debian 10 and I am having the same problem with the newest version of emby server. I can connect fine internally, but not over internet. Could anyone help? I have been working at this on and off for several months and it is very frustrating.

Thank you,

Bob

are your proper ports forwarded?  what have you checked/tried?

I have forwarded 8096 and 8092... I guess what I can't figure out is why it worked for almost a year and then stopped.

I did try the check port page in connection help and it says cannot see service... but the ports are forwarded correctly as emby-server

Hi,

As I mentioned when I use the check port utility it cannot access port. I do have a ddns server from my provider.. but I have no idea how to set up bind (I am using debian 10).  I have looked at tutorials but they really don't help... I've not used Linux command line enough. I still can't figure out why it worked for a year, and suddenly quit working when all I did was update emby and did Linux updates.  I choose emby because it worked right away, I do have emby premiere, and really don't want to try something else, but I may have too if I can't get this working. I did everything in the tutorial that was mentioned above, but it did not work.

Hi, @bob58523 which steps in the help article succeeded and which ones did not?
