Moving servers

Hey sorry i could not find my old topic i made about this.

 

Ok so i finally going to move servers, the only thing that's changed is the server and ip, tho i use CF so will this make a difference...

 

So i did a backup reinstalled the backup to new server, everything works as it should but before i change the dns to point to the new server will the users have to sign up again?, we dont use emby connect its all done manually.  I was hoping they would not notice the dns change but will emby?

yes, user have to resign and maybe add the new server even if the server is on the same DNS

Hi, yes technically it's a whole new server, so the users may have to sign in again.
