Go to "Logs" in the server dashboard. The hw detection log is already there (it's always created on startup).

Attached is the HW Detection log hopefully this helps to get the best playback solution.

Much appreciated. I read on here under the plug-ins section that the XML one needs updating will the 4.7 release impact that?

It already has a compatibility update released for 4.7.
