rtcheeks 1 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 I had turned off the "Allow subtitle extraction on the fly" option because complicated subtitles seem to always have problems in the web app when this option is on (misaligned text, japanese characters replaced with boxes, etc) and burning the subtitles in with the video fixed that problem. Since 4.6, subtitles no longer work for me on the web app with this option off. Turning the option back on does bring the subtitles back, but they are still broken in the same way they were before. As far as I can tell, this problem only exists in the web app. I have included logs taken from starting a video to the point where there should be subtitles. Some irrelevant information was replaced with "@@@@". embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ba6896cb-a0db-4746-8644-acb21f995490_1.txt
rtcheeks 1 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 or rather they don't show up when I play any video with subtitles
Carlo 4561 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Hi, on a hunch are you using hardware transcoding? If so can you turn it off and test with software only to see if that handles the subs better?
Luke 42083 Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 @rtcheeks can you provide a sample video for testing?
