JerkyChew 0 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 I have a ton of movies and videos in my library and I prefer to view and sort by filenames. A recent update to Emby performed some kind of metainfo lookup, and renamed everything in Emby. The files themselves were not renamed. I think I've successfully gone in and removed all of the auto-naming and auto-lookup features, but I can't figure out how to remove all. the names and descriptions that are already in place. How can I get Emby to revert back to the previous display settings?

Luke 42085 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this. Can you please go over an example of what got renamed?
JerkyChew 0 Posted June 4, 2021 Author Posted June 4, 2021 Personal videos, home movies, vacation videos etc. I'd just like to browse items as if they were files like I used to - browse files and folders and sort by date. Some of the folders are no longer there and have been replaced by items like "The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?" or "Homeland". If I have to delete and recreate the library I'm ok with it at this point, I just want to make sure items won't get renamed again.
Carlo 4561 Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 If you go to Library menu in Emby and look at the type listed for each of your libraries are they correct?
