Just for info.

Just installed beta .23 emby release and vantage point items no longer playing. was fine on 0.18 but with the docker upgraded to .23 release the film is played directly and does not play any of my film cert bumper

No settings were changed between .18 and .23 just a straight up docker upgrade (linuxserver.io release of emby docker)

Going to refresh metadat incase that is a possible issue

Refreshed Metadata and same no VP intros played

All pre rools and certs located on server emby running from, access no issues and formats mp4. All the same settings / items as on .18

Having an issue with online trailers being played, unfortunately the coming soon video plays then goes straight into phone warning

 

Emby v .27 (official Docker version)

Vantage v. 1.0.0.6 (however settings show 1.0.0.5)

Resolved my online trailer issue - Found the trailers plugin was uninstalled

This all works really well for me apart from one issue. if i have VP set up like so, i only ever get trailers from my library, never from the online source. if i disable "trailers from my collection" i get online trailers.

ideally, what i would like is a "coming soon" bumper and a couple of trailers from online sources followed by a "from your collection" bumper followed by a couple of local trailers. but i'd settle for at least a mixture of online and local for now

Just gave this a whirl. It seems to be broken (for me anyhow).. It just jumps to playing the movie with no bumbers, trailers or codecs.

Hi Sammy, I can't break it on Latest Beta or on Release versions.  So I can't fix if it aint broken.

Have you followed these steps.... just to be sure.

PM me, your set up for plugin (Screenshots) - Step on how you produce the issues, standard stuff.  Also let me know your OS, emby server and any other info.

Currently it's designed like that, The text is there twice to let you know this is the intended function.

Hello there, I have no experience with Linux or docker.  it may have changed  your file access permissions during the docker upgrade.  Are you still having the problems?

I did that but maybe I didn't uninstall Cinema Mode Plugin first? Not sure. I'll try again. Currently I uninstalled the Vantage Point Plugin and rolled back to Cinema Mode because the Vantage Point Plugin wasn't working. I'll remove  the Cinema Mode Plugin, restart the server then install the Vantage Point Plugin then make settings and report back. I don't mind posting my settings here as there's nothing personal about them.

I am running Emby Server Beta .32 currently on a Windows 10 Machine.

 ok well can i make that a feature request then please? i have local trailers for all my media in my library and rely on the online trailers for upcoming movies only. so i'd like a combination of both if possible

Ok so i messed up, i understand what you mean now.  it appears that even within the online trailers section that movies stored in your Movie Folder are not being played along with the with online.

The other option I referred to was if a person had a single folder full of trailers, which is not your case.

Let me look into this.  It will require a bit of work to split out them but i can do your request and add in a Bumper for "Trailers from your Collection"

Just been doing some more testing and I found an issue and it's to do with codecs.  If you can disable this (remove link to path and save) until i fix the codec stuff or figure out what's wrong, you should get everything else working good.

Hi, no when i upgrade the docker it only changes the updated image nothing else the data within the volumes is persistant (this is where the preroll and certs are stored and nothing has changed there including permissions

Yep, if i delete that codec path then the certs do start playing again

That's good that you can replicate it on your system.  I'll take a look at why it's failing and.  Seems odd!

Yeah just odd that it was fine on some beta releases and then just stopped on one of the .2* releases i was already on latest VP before it went belly up

Hi @Cheesegeezer Welcome back! Would it be possible to have a dedicated trailers folder and have Vantage Point use that instead of online ones? I’d like to be able to download upcoming high quality trailers and have VP use those instead. Online trailers stopped working for me. Thanks again for your hard work!
