Is there a list of Music Tags that emby supports for both ID3 and FLAC?

Thanks

Hi, not that I know of. Is there any particular reason you ask?

This has been asked before. There are a ton of tags that can be added, but since not all are supported we don't know what data should be added as a tag and what should be manually entered in Emby. There is a new tag that I would like to see which is the Apple Explicit tag so Emby pulls in the "parental control" data automatically.

The simple answer is that we read in all the normal tags that Picard writes.

But that doesn't help. What's a normal tag? I'm pretty sure the Apple explicit tag is in Picard and that tag isn't used. Can we get a list of what tags are actually used and even better, which are likely to be added in near future?

Tags and tag priority needs to be documented.  As we already know there are multiple versions of tags that do the exact same thing but one takes priority over the other.

Short of being able to see the code to see what order info is read in I'd have no idea how to document that Happy2Play. :)

@mbarylski If you find a tag in Picard that Emby isn't reading that it should to support functionality it has then by all means report it.
What would be the use of an Apple explicit tag?  Media in Emby need to be available for all clients not just apple.

The reason I asked was to establish whether emby used the "sort name" tags.

Sort name for what exactly?
