A clean install of Emby Portable version: 4.6.1.0. Not an update from a previous version install. In the past there was an icon for the systray, but now there isn't. I don't know where it retrieve the icon, but embytray.exe has no icon files in it. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi, the icon shows up just fine in my testing. Why have you created a shortcut to embytray.exe? That is not something you need to run manually on your own. Just run the main embyserver.exe and it will take care of starting the tray.

I saw the exe didn't show an icon in the file list. I thought possible icon cache problem, so I made the shortcut to see if the exe had an icon in it. However, I installed Emby and it shows the tray icon. For some reason the portable version just started this problem after I reinstalled Win10 last night.

That's interesting, thanks for the info.

I have looked everywhere, deleted iconcache, messed with the registry and reinstalled the taskbar with no success. In the notification settings, embytray doesn't show an icon. Any reference, for embytray, that can display an icon shows no icon. Hope this helps.

I'm not able to reproduce as I can see the icon just fine running portable but I'll see if I can find anything. Thanks.
