all4dom 101 Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I could have sworn that live TV on roku had a guide info button that was at the bottom that we could hit & read the movie/tv show description. There is no button now but are there any plans to add that back. Maybe it never had it but I'm thinking it did.

all4dom 101 Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 No button at all. I only have the cog key on the right & the record button, back to live guide button & pause button on my left. If I hit the asterisk key on the remote, it brings me to the roku settings button.

speechles 2055 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) I can check our logic in that section to make sure when this is Live TV it is fetching the overview correctly and assigning the metadata appropriately. If that happens I've already checked the logic in the action manager will pass along the button to the OSD every single time without exception. Otherwise if the item.overview is absent or empty it will not show the button on the screen. If the item.overview should actually be present and is in other applications such as the web app or android tv and shows the info button on the OSD then this is a fault of the Roku application and we will correct it. all4dom 101 Posted May 31, 2021 Author Posted May 31, 2021 @ebr, I was not talking about when you first go into the guide. In fire TV you can be watching a show & have the button at the button that gives you the episode description. It's not in roku but I think it was once there.

all4dom 101 Posted May 31, 2021 Author Posted May 31, 2021 @ebr yes it does. From what I have been reading on the forums, roku is not friendly to develope for. I'm thinking of eventually getting a shield & from what I read.... ill.never go back to roku after that..lol.
