thegrunge 29 Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Hello, I'm trying to add tv channels to my m3u list and emby don't want to see them. Even when creating a new m3u file it does not see its contents. Everything that was already in my file is still recognized, and functional, but that's it. I also noticed that my lists already add an emby before the last update for the name of m3u tuner, but when I add a new one, it only bears the name of m3u.
Luke 42078 Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Hi, try refreshing the guide data after editing your m3u files. If you're still missing channels, make sure the tvg-id values in the m3u are unique for every single one.
thegrunge 29 Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 @LukeHi I have already tried to update the tv guide, I don't know what is going on, but normally even if the tv channel is double emby just sees it twice. this is not the problem now, it is other things. I hadn't tried to add other channels since the last good update, I also tried to move the file elsewhere but it's even worse. the tv channels no longer work at this time. I dont try reboot the serveur. Thanks
Luke 42078 Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 We've always stripped out duplicates by tvg-id. This has always been the case. We do plan to provide more control over this, but that's what it currently does as of now.
thegrunge 29 Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 @LukeI'm not sure I understand. what i am trying to do and have always done is add tv channels to my already existing list in emby. they are not doubles.
Luke 42078 Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 They probably are, or there's some other reason for it to be hidden based on your configuration. We'd have to go over an example in more detail.
thegrunge 29 Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 @LukeI will do a try after a restart of emby or the server. I will come back to follow up when I try this. thanks!
Solution thegrunge 29 Posted May 30, 2021 Author Solution Posted May 30, 2021 @LukeThis morning everything is in order, strange I haven't done anything more since yesterday, there was an inexplicable delay. Thanks!
thegrunge 29 Posted June 11, 2021 Author Posted June 11, 2021 @LukeHi, I still confirm the same problem. I add a tv channel to my list and when I update the list it is done in 3 seconds but nothing is done. So I copy my list to another place on the computer and I changed the path in set up. same thing and even worse he sees my same channels but none works. So I put the first path back in set up. at this time the channels that I had already work again, but no additions or modifications made.
CasperTV 9 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 What iptv provider are you using ? Your list set like so ? #EXTINF:-1, History Channel http://iptv.link.here/historychannel
thegrunge 29 Posted June 11, 2021 Author Posted June 11, 2021 (edited) @CasperTVExactly yes before the 4.6 update when I added a tv channel and I scanned it was added. Now this is hell. Exemple: #EXTINF:-1,RDI https://rcavlive.akamaized.net/hls/live/704025/xcanrdi/master_2500.m3u8 I don't know if it's linux the problem, but it seems to me that on windows I didn't have as many problems with emby Edited June 11, 2021 by thegrunge
CasperTV 9 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 What distro linux? That just seems odd because it should work unless something is blocking it.
thegrunge 29 Posted June 11, 2021 Author Posted June 11, 2021 @CasperTVEmby excluded from my vpn otherwise it doesn't work for remote access. I use ubuntu 20.04 and linux mint. i have the save trouble on the 2 system
CasperTV 9 Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 I just tested your link in emby and it loaded up perfect so something is blocking your server from scanning new content.
thegrunge 29 Posted June 11, 2021 Author Posted June 11, 2021 @CasperTV i dont know what it can be the channel i added last night was finally syncing that night...
