DarkShadow93 2 Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 So I set up my SSL and my domain name at emby.mydomain.com but to access it i have to type in emby.mydomain.com:8920 and I run my site through a VPS at linode I want to just be able to type emby.mydomain.com and it redirects it without me having to enter the port at the end can anyone link me to a documentation where I could set this up. Im newer to this type of stuff so I'm not sure where to begin to look for newbie info.
Luke 42078 Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Hi, 443 is the universal default SSL port, so to do this you'll need to setup port 443 on your network as the public facing ssl port, and then configure 443 as the public facing https port number in server network settings.
