DS918+ Hardware Transcoding

Hi, If I'm watching 4K HDR content on my Emby app installed directly on my samsung tv should I expect the DS918+ to max out? I.e. is that expected behaviour or is there some setting to change to do hardware encoding which doesnt max out cpu?

When watching content on though a ShieldTV there is no CPU increase I assume because the ShieldTV supported the codec.
