need help cant seem to get my sever

hi there I cant seem to get my server externally when i am out i put my server ip address into it and always keeps saying error on finding the server but i know my server works at home any ideas will be hugely appreciated

im very struggling as the remote access ip address is not recongising and it was working yesterday and I cant seem to figure out why pleas somebody help i am pulling my hair out haha :)

 

as you can see in the picture plus on firestick when i put the ip address in it keeps saying error no server?

hi there thank you for your reply luke but unfortunately it not worked i have followed all steps and still no help if you type the ip address in its not recongising it at all but the home one works fine

 

http://188.220.167.242:8096 is the one that doesnt work i cant unerstand why thou :(

hi luke I followed all the external steps like the windows firewall, and set up forwarding and still no joy like i say the in-home ip address works completely fine but the external one its like its not a website for me to use as it doesnt recongise it :(

i probably sone the wifi one wrong the forwarding im not sure im not clued up tbh haha

i followed the steps to test my external ip address and when i test it its not recognised then i did the set up port forwarding and its still not recognised?

sorry pal the whole bit before is all about the internal connection the (in-home internal LAN connection) which is working all perfect but the remote access ip address just isn't working its like the ip address just isn't correct sorry to be a pain i followed thee whole thing but the 1st bit is working fine 

 

my issue is when I'm not at home and want to watching/listen to something its not recognising the server address and don't know how to get it sort pal sorry again

You still need to go through these steps because remote connectivity will not work without first verifying connectivity from other devices on your lan, so that's what I wanted to confirm. It wasn't clear from your responses. Thanks.

Please make sure to see the section in the guide about loopback.

Hi, can you take a look at this article and let us know what step it fails on please?
Listed at the bottom are common things to check for when remote access doesn't work.

i have followed all step and i can verify my laptop and amazon firestick to my server but still no joy with the WAN REMOTE connectivity :( im so confused its pulling my hair out completely lol

i went on the canyouseeme.org and it said  I could not see your service on 188.220.167.242 on port  

what would you suggest i dont have the firewall on and also i did the port forwarding and still no joy

hey pal its still not recognising the remote access ip address at all i followed all the steps and none of it works like my LAN ip address works fine the the WAN doesnt recognise it all all my ip address is 188.220.167.242:8096

Have you checked with your ISP to make sure they allow this port to be opened?

Your "ISP" is your Internet Service Provider.

is the trace route from the canyouseeme.org    if so it said I could not see your service on 188.220.167.242 on port

It's explained in the document he linked to. Are you sure that you're actually reading them and going through all the steps?
