MBSki 1114 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 I had this problem in beta too, and it still seems to be an issue. Some of my albums aren't getting the MusicBrainz album art. I have the MusicBrainz Album ID in my metadata, and I even deleted and re-created the Music library, but still no luck. Just passing it along to see if it can be fixed, although I've given up and I'm now just grabbing the MusicBrainz album art and saving it locally.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Hi, The best way is to embed the album art in the tracks of the album so the tag info will be read like any other tagged info.

Yes, I know, but it is made to pull the album art from MusicBrainz right? I'm just pointing out that it doesn't work all the time. I've given up hoping it will work, but that doesn't mean I've given up hope that it'll be fixed.

Try refreshing the metadata on the album and see if that helps.

I'm guessing when the initial scan takes place it loads an album incorrectly or there's a hiccup in MusicBrainz and after that it doesn't think there's anything new. Or, in some cases I've found that I somehow have hidden album art that even the "view hidden files" option doesn't show. That's not in every case though, so I don't know why it doesn't work when the album art doesn't exist anywhere. What's the logic with the Refresh Metadata? Which source is preferred? Local?

It uses whatever you've enabled in library options. Please try that and if there's still an issue, then in order to provide further assistance please provide the information requested here: Thanks.
MBSki 1114 Posted May 24, 2021 Author Posted May 24, 2021 Stop sending me the How to report a problem link!!!! I know how to report a problem Luke. As I said, I'm just passing the issue on. I've given up trying to get it to work. I've got everything loaded locally now so I don't have any more problems. And if I encounter the issue again, I'll just load the album art locally.
Luke 42078 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 For the first 2-3 days following the initial 4.6 release our musicbrainz server was getting hit hard and some requests may have failed. At this point things are starting to calm down a little and I'm not seeing any problems.

So, as of about 6 hours ago everything that was having problems I just saved locally.
