Dreakon13 143 Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Hi, I have an Audio Books library I set up for episodes of a podcast/radio show I listen to. Each show is about 3-4 hours long, so I made it an Audio Book library so it would save the session when I took breaks, and I could jump back to where I was before. This is working fine, my place is being saved as I listen and stop playback... but the Continue Listening section on the Home page isn't showing up anymore. I do have it as part of my Home Screen settings, and it seemed like it was working fine prior to the update. My Home screen currently goes from Continue Watching directly into Latest Media, even if I have an audio book/radio show episode in progress. Not a huge issue, it's still saving my progress so I can go and find the show and open it and all is good, but having it on the home screen waiting for me was convenient. Maybe it's an intended change as part of the 4.6 update and how I was using it isn't correct anymore, but if there's a way I could bring it back that'd be cool. Thank you.

Seems like all the pieces are set up right... the library is audio book, the Home screen is using "Continue Listening", I have a recently/partially played file... yet the Continue Listening isn't showing. Am I missing something, or is there anything I can do to troubleshoot?

If it's relevant... they're all the same \volume2\Media\ path on my NAS (with their respective folders, Television, Comedy, Music, Podcasts, etc). One path per library. Can you elaborate? I don't have the Podcast plugin. These aren't really podcasts, it's shows of an older radio show in MP3 format. Only named it that as some vague form of future-proofing if I ever wanted to organize actual podcasts into it... since to my understanding podcasts and traditional talk radio aren't too different. Ok thanks, I can do that. What steps would be best to demonstrate it? Just loading the Home screen? Running and stopping the file?

The library is set for the minimum 5 minute threshold. Attached is the server log. I marked the file as unplayed, ran it straight through to about 8 minutes 30 seconds, stopped it... oddly, it didn't save its position. I started it again (from the beginning because I had to), jumped ahead to about the 40 minute mark, stopped it, and it did save its position. Then I downloaded the log. Still isn't appearing as Continue Listening on the Home screen though. embyserver.txt Edited May 23, 2021 by Dreakon13

Name of the library - Content Type - Path. I feel like Collections used to have a path (like Playlists does) but it isn't listed. Maybe something got mixed up in the 4.6 update. The Collections I have work and there are a few complicated ones so I don't feel like re-making the library unless it'd be recommended to address this issue, or any other.
