My Setup: Qnap TS-873

Emby Version:  4.6.0.50

Emby is really starting to get frustrating. I love Emby and honestly I am hoping it is just me being ignorant and I will gladly eat crow if so. If not, these updates have to stop that never fix existing issues and also introduce new ones.

In the past, one of the major issues I ran into when using Emby was pulling the meta data, especially when it came to "Cast & Crew." In the past, I usually had no issue with this unless I manually "Refreshed Metadata" or the wrong information was pulled and I would have to "Identify". When I would to these two options, it would only pull the direct and say "Person as role" (this has not been fix and now when you identify, it doesn't import any cast at all):

Here is the Metadata:

Since the last update, it will pull the "Cat & Crew" (unless the above is done) but when it does pull it, it does it half-a**.

After Update: After.thumb.jpg.fbde2fa8f48f0374678e8d255f49e9b8.jpg

Again, please just tell me I am the issue, I can admit my mistakes. If not, get we please get this fixed, maybe as a minor update and.

Not seeing anything for the above movie in that log.  I know when I added it, it was misidentified and when I Identified it everything appeared properly, but had to identify by providerid as name did not work.

Hmmm....Would it be possible you could share your settings with me? Maybe I have something done incorrectly?

Same as you posted above, only difference might be I write nfo files.  I identified with tmdbid "497984".  Can you Identify that movie again and post log if it does not provide the correct information.

But the only way I get Cast and Crew with Actor (no role) is with OMDB first or as only provider.

@Happy2Playand @Luke,

I have tried the suggestions above and it is a no go. For the record, Emby has no problem identifying the information or pulling the correct movie synopsis. Also, when the movie gets correctly identified when the movie is scanned it, it works. However, whenever I refresh the metadata and/or identify the movie then it fails to complete the cast. If you see from photos below on what I am saying. I have also attached the log as requested to help.

When Movie is imported and correctly IDs movie.

When I refresh meta data

Do you have the server log for this action?  I do not get this same behavior.

Luke will have to look at the log more but I am not seeing anything that stands out.  Proper providerids appear in the log.

When importing movie and correctly IDing it (actors present):

Before the refresh, here is what is showing under meta data for people:

After a manual refresh (actors no longer show):

@dubbleup99 i can't reproduce this, but @cayars can jump on a teamviewer with you and take a look.

@cayars take a look at the contents of the tmdb cache file for this movie. Maybe for whatever reason it's not getting updated when he refreshes metadata.

Waiting to hear back from @dubbleup99 for a remote session which I sent to him today.
