Ignore folders

Does Emby no longer ignore folders that begin with a period?

Interestingly enough, it alpha sorts on the period too...

No it doesn't but if you want to hide a folder you can place an ".ignore" file in the folder.

Wonderful.  All the .extras folders that have been excluded this way will now have to be corrected.  Sigh

I apologize but there are actually some real shows and movies whose name start with a dot so we had to remove this. We have other ways to hide content though.

I have a large photo library with loads of subfolders.  I also use the Photo Album software JAlbum using the same source files.  JAlbum puts a .jalbum folder in every single folder - and I can't go putting .ignore files in them all, because JAlbum would then get upset.

Would it be possible to have a library option to ignore folders starting with a dot, or even a special exception for .jalbum folders?

I think we’ can just hardcode that one to ignore.
