GrimReaper 4740 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Good day all, having issues with Emby reading multi-episode NFOs created by 3rd party app (TMM). In short, only first episode in multi-part episode gets read/displayed. My folder structure is standard TV naming convention, with multi-episodes SxxExx-Eyy and all meta-scrapers disabled. Example: Extant (2014) which has 2 seasons of 13 episodes each, with Season 1 episodes 7+8 and 9+10, and Season 2 episodes 6+7 and 12+13 being double events. As visible from screenshots, all 26 episodes are present and have associated NFOs, however only 22 get presented upon scan. Any ideas? Extant.S01E07-E08.nfo Extant.S01E09-E10.nfo Extant.S02E06-E07.nfo Extant.S02E12-E13.nfo
gillmacca01 211 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 (edited) If you check one of the double episodes nfo file, after the episode number, you should have a line like this: <episodenumberend>5</episodenumberend> This would tell Emby, what the first and last episodes numbers are in a double/triple episode Edited May 21, 2021 by gillmacca01

However, it only changes episode display number, with no Name or Synopsis or any other detail - and which are all present in NFO. In my understanding, it should be handled by Emby in either of two ways: 1) Parse NFO and if multiple episodes present - concatenate all same tags (or at least main ones) or 2) Present EACH episode separately with associated metadata but point to same media file
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 If I understand correctly Emby does not do multiple "episodedetails" in one nfo. Will have to look but pretty sure there are other topics. Reading and writing of nfo for multi-part episodes is wrong - General/Windows - Emby Community 1
