Does it return any? If not add the album back on disc and rescan library. How does it look now? @cayars @Happy2Play Yes that fixed it, i took the Evanescence album out ran a scan on the music library when it finished i put the album back, ran another scan and it shows properly in the recently played list. Now given that refresh doesn't work and there were 2000+ albums in the library prior to the update would the quickest and easiest move be to drop the music library, rescan all libraries and then rebuild the music library?

Yes that is really your only option unless there is a database guru that could purge these duplicate entries easily. 1
ebr 16183 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Did you happen to restart the server or machine soon after you first updated to 4.6? I'm thinking maybe things got into a bad state by having the initial scan of the music library after update interrupted or something...
Carlo 4561 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 If it were me personally, I'd remove the music library and rebuild it from scratch. That will give you a clean music library once finished.

Not while the scans after update where running @ebr, after near on a decade using emby i am wary of things like that, so check logs etc to make sure initial scans have finished before i do reboots or the like after a major update. There were several done afterward, specifically trying to sort out the missing coverart issue in the same music library.

Brendon 119 Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 @cayars, @Happy2Play, @ebr all sorted now, thank you for the help guys. I dropped the library, let it finish the scan it starts right after, then i restarted emby and had it do a vacuum of the database on restart. Re-added the music library and all its folders, it then took a good 6+hrs to rescan everything back in but all is good on the music side of things, now to fix the pesky devices problem i am having lol 2
Carlo 4561 Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Thanks for the update. Let us know what your device problem is.
