Brendon 119 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Just noticed this one as well guys, recently played has a double row, checked on one of my NVidia Shields and it's showing there as well.
Brendon 119 Posted May 21, 2021 Author Posted May 21, 2021 Sorry i did not explain correctly, the double rows are identical on mine, yours has different tracks @cayars, the top row in my pic is identical to the bottom but it has no cover artwork.
Carlo 4561 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 I'm not sure I follow. What is identical in your pic?

Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 No sure as I don't see this behavior either. If you play a new track does it do the same thing?
ebr 16183 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Hi. It looks like you may have two copies of those songs...?
Brendon 119 Posted May 21, 2021 Author Posted May 21, 2021 @ebr Nope don't have 2 copies of the songs, and @Happy2Play it does it if i play a new track, the evanescence tracks were played post update, the others were pre update.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Can't reproduce in web client. So edit metadata on each of those tracks shows the same path?
Brendon 119 Posted May 21, 2021 Author Posted May 21, 2021 (edited) So it seems it only does it with tracks that were in the library prior to the update. I added in a new album, played a few tracks and recently played displayed as expected, changed to an album that was already in the library and its duplicating itself in recently played. That to me suggest your Music library needs a complete refresh, you could always test something that is showing duplicated and Refresh that Album and see if it does the same thing. 1
Carlo 4561 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Just a quick couple of questions. Do you see the same issue in Web? Have you ran a full library scan since you upgraded? Lastly could you try picking any track that shows up duplicated in the rows and search for it. Then click on the songs tab. How many entries show up?
ebr 16183 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 If you right click, edit metadata on those two "identical" entries, what is different about them? Where does the path point?

Just did that with the Metallica album and no change.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 If you did a search on any of those tracks are they doubled?

ebr 16183 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Clearly two different database entries. From the compacted path it is hard to tell if they actually point to the same file.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 They both have different Date added also. So something is a little flaky there.

They definitely are pointing at the same physical file mate, i can remove every other Metallica album and it still does it and my music is so meticulously organised there is no way it can be looking elsewhere nor would there be a double up of that album or any other.

Yeah the one that shows the album cover has the date from last night when the update was done, the one without the album cover is showing the actual date added from last year.

Looks like you have database quirks then. You could make a copy of your library.db and explore that copy. You could remove the album, scan, then re-add the album to see if it corrects the issue.

Have done multiple library scans since the update trying to fix the missing album covers When i search it shows 2 copies of the track, both point at the exact same album and track, one has an album cover the other does not, just as shown in recently played. Carlo 4561 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Try this. Move the album out of the library on disc. Rescan the library. Do a search for any of it's tracks. Does it return any? If not add the album back on disc and rescan library. How does it look now?
