IPTV Router Configuration

I just stumbled upon this area in my router settings. Forgive the dopey question, but what would be the advantage to setting this up? I use an IPTV service now, and there are no limitations or ways to improve it as far as I know. Remote access is a problem when I'm connected to my VPN, and I know there's a way to set that up to work through the router, but it hasn't been enough of a problem to convince me to put in the effort. What could I actually accomplish with the IPTV settings though?

For our use it would make no difference for you so nothing to worry about.
